July or Early August, 2007

We figure this can't take place until 2007. We were told by one private cottage proprietor in town that July has the best weather. However, we know that July probably does not work for everybody. So let's say July through the earlier part of August, 2007, is on the table for discussion. If you have any preferences, please post them or otherwise make them known.

Village of Grand Lake

The village of Grand Lake is just a short drive from the Grand Lake Lodge. The village consists of a broad main street with Western-style raised, covered, wooden sidewalks and several very reasonably-priced bars and restaurants, a small beach, boat rental facilities, and several cottages and motels. Check out these informational web sites. Please share any additional useful websites you might discover.

It as not been set in stone that people should stay at the Grand Lake Lodge. It might even turn out that no one will want to stay there. This blog can help facilitate that discussion.

Fly to Denver, then take a breathtaking drive to Grand Lake

Grand Lake Lodge

During a brief visit to Boulder, a city greeter suggested to Peggy and me that there are two places we simply must visit while in the area: the Trail Ridge Road, which crosses Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes Park on the east side to Grand Lake on the west, and the porch of the Grand Lake Lodge. It was at the Grand Lake Lodge, while visiting there along with me and Jessica, that Peggy was inspired to organize a reunion.

Introduction

During our trip to Colorado in August, 2005, we happened to stumble upon a location that struck Peggy as being a good place for a family reunion: Grand Lake, Colorado.

This website was set up to help develop the idea, share information, explore the possibilities, etc.

I'll get things rollng by posting some infomation about Grand Lake.

Please feel free to comment on anything that's posted here or to post your own items.
